Terms of Use
These terms apply to the Pocket app and pocketapp.rocks, operated by Emmental Ventures, LLC, a Utah company (“we”). By using Pocket you agree to them.
1. What Pocket is
Pocket shows interest rates and terms published by banks and credit unions so you can compare them. Pocket is an information service. We are not a bank, lender, mortgage broker or financial adviser. We do not make loans, take deposits, take applications or make credit decisions, and nothing in Pocket is an offer of credit or a recommendation for your situation.
2. Rates are information, not offers
We collect rates from institutions' own published information and rate sheets, and show when each was last checked. Rates change often, may depend on your credit, location, relationship and other conditions, and may be out of date or contain errors. The rate, fees and terms you are actually offered are set by the institution. Always confirm with the institution before you act.
True Cost and savings figures are estimates calculated from published rates and fees using the assumptions shown in the app. They are not quotes.
3. Institutions and links
When you contact an institution or follow a link, you leave Pocket and deal with that institution directly under its own terms. Unless a listing is marked as sponsored, institutions do not pay to appear or to be ranked. If we show sponsored placements in the future, they will be clearly labeled, and rankings by True Cost will not change because of them.
4. Your use
- Use Pocket for your own personal, non-commercial purposes.
- Don't copy, scrape or resell Pocket's rate data, or try to disrupt or gain unauthorized access to the service.
- If you give us contact details, keep them accurate. You're responsible for activity on your device.
5. Our content
The app, its design and our compilation of rate data belong to us. Institution names and marks belong to their owners and are used only to identify them.
6. No warranty
Pocket is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, including accuracy, completeness, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.
7. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for decisions you make based on information in Pocket. Our total liability for any claim relating to Pocket is limited to $100.
8. Changes and ending
We may change Pocket or these terms. If a change matters, we'll update the date above and tell you in the app. You can stop using Pocket at any time and ask us to delete your data.
9. Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Utah, and disputes will be heard in the state or federal courts located in Utah, unless the law where you live requires otherwise.
