Privacy Policy
Pocket is a free app that compares bank and credit union rates. It is operated by Emmental Ventures, LLC, a Utah company (“we”). This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have.
The short version
- You can search rates without an account.
- We collect only what the app needs to work, and anything beyond that is optional.
- We do not sell your personal information and we do not sell your contact details to lenders as leads.
- You can delete your data at any time.
What we collect

We do not ask for your Social Security number, bank account logins or account numbers.
How we share information
- Service providers who run parts of Pocket for us — hosting, email and text delivery, push notifications and app analytics — under contracts that limit their use of the data to providing those services.
- Banks and credit unions receive nothing about you unless you choose to contact them. When you tap through to an institution, you go to its own website or phone line, and its privacy policy applies.
- Aggregated or de-identified statistics (for example, how many people searched for auto loans in Utah this month) may be shared or published. These cannot reasonably identify you.
- Legal reasons: if required by law, or to protect the rights and safety of our users or others.
- Business transfer: if the company is merged or sold, this policy continues to apply to information collected under it.
Your choices
- Delete your data: use “Delete my data” in the app, or email privacy@pocketapp.rocks. We delete your account information, tracked items and loan details within 30 days, except where we must keep records by law.
- Access or correct: email us and we'll send you a copy or fix it.
- Notifications: turn alerts off in the app or in your phone's settings; unsubscribe from any email with one click; reply STOP to any text.
Security and retention
Data is encrypted in transit and stored on access-controlled servers in the United States. We keep personal information only as long as you use Pocket or as needed for the purposes above; rate data about institutions is kept indefinitely.
Children
Pocket is meant for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
Changes
If we change this policy in a way that matters, we'll update the date above and tell you in the app before the change takes effect.
